Christmas quiz: 20 questions for the holidays

What is in the Christmas quiz

The Christmas quiz is twenty questions about the season: songs everyone hums in December, the films that are on television every year, Santa, his reindeer and where they are supposed to live, and traditions from different countries – what people eat, when they open presents, and the stories behind them.

Most questions are easy enough for the whole family, with a few harder ones for the person who always knows the most. Every round has twelve easy, six medium and two hard questions.

Perfect for the family or the office party

Want to play together? Create a room on Trivvy, choose the Christmas category, and everyone joins with a four-letter code on their own phone. The questions appear on every screen at the same time, the answers are judged automatically, and the scoreboard shows who wins. Nobody has to read out questions or keep score with pen and paper.

You can even schedule the start in advance and add it to your calendar, so the quiz begins right after dinner.

A tip for mixed ages: turn on hint mode, where letters of the answer appear as the clock runs down. Younger players get a fair chance, while the quickest still earn the most points. And if grandparents want to join, all they need is the code – no app to install.

How answering works

You type the answer yourself. Small spelling mistakes and common alternative names are accepted, and an AI judge decides the unclear cases. In a room, a player who thinks they were judged wrongly can ask the others to vote.

Free in the browser

Trivvy works on any phone, tablet or computer, in ten languages, with no download and no account required. The Christmas quiz can be played all year, and it is featured on the front page from the first of December.
