How the Daily 4x4 works

Every day Trivvy draws a fresh board: four categories as columns and four rows of questions, from 100 points at the top to the hardest at the bottom. You pick the squares in any order you like and type your answers. There is no clock at any point, so you can think as long as you want.

Somewhere on the board is a hidden double. When you find it, you choose how much to bet before you see the question. A right answer wins the bet; a wrong one loses it. Wrong answers on ordinary squares cost nothing, so it is all about how much you dare on the double.

One round a day, the same for everyone

The categories change every day and do not repeat for weeks, so there is always something new. Because everyone gets the same board, you can compare with friends without having to play at the same time.

When you are done, you can share your result as a grid of green and red squares – it shows how you did without giving away a single answer. With a free account, your score goes on the Daily 4x4 leaderboard.

Forgiving answers

Typos and alternative names are accepted, and an AI judge checks the unclear cases. After each square you see the right answer before you move on, so you learn something even from the ones you miss.
