Play trivia with friends, live

Create a room, share the code, and everyone answers on their own phone at the same time. No app to download and no account needed.

Trivvy lets you play trivia with friends online for free. One person creates a room and shares a four-letter code, and everyone joins on their own phone or computer, with no app to download and no account needed. You all answer the same questions at once by typing, and the scores are ranked at the end.

How a room works

Press "Create room" and you get a four-letter code and a link. Send it in the group chat, read it out loud, or show it on a big screen. Everyone who opens the link joins from their own phone or computer, and when you start, the same question appears for everyone at once.

Each player types an answer before the time runs out. Trivvy judges it straight away – spelling mistakes and alternative names are accepted – and after every question you see who got it right, the correct answer, and what everybody else wrote. That part is often the funniest.

Choose how you want to play

The host picks the round: 10, 20 or 30 questions, and 30, 60 or 120 seconds to answer. Choose an easy mix, one of the six classic trivia categories, niche topics like films, music, food or video games, or questions about a particular country. In hint mode, letters of the answer appear as time passes, and an early answer is worth more points.

If someone thinks their answer was judged wrongly, they can dispute it, and the other players vote. You can react to each other's answers, and at the end awards are handed out – for the fastest player, the funniest wrong answer, and more.

For parties, classrooms and long distances

Rooms work just as well around the same table as on a video call with friends in other cities. Teachers use them in class, families on holidays, and friends on a Friday night. You can schedule a game up to a week ahead and add it to your calendar, so everybody knows when to join.

Free, and no sign-up

Trivvy runs in the browser and is free to play. Nobody needs an account, but players with an account get a rating per category that goes up and down with every game against others.
