The kind of questions a pub quiz asks

A good general knowledge round mixes the subjects, so that nobody can win on one strength alone. The questions below move between geography, science, history, literature, art, music and sport, from things most people know to a few that spark an argument.

They are written at the level of a friendly pub quiz: hard enough that you do not get every one right, easy enough that nobody feels left out. Use them for a quiz night with friends, a team-building session or a long car ride.

Running your own quiz night

Read the questions in rounds of five, give teams a minute to agree on an answer, and swap papers to mark. Round it off with a picture or music round if you want variety. For a bigger group, a shared screen and a live scoreboard save a lot of work.

That is what a Trivvy room does: the host picks the categories and difficulty, everyone joins with a four-character code on their own phone, answers are typed rather than chosen from options, and the scoreboard updates after every question.

Find your own level

If you wonder how you compare, Trivvy's "Find your level" test finds your level in twelve questions and rates you in six categories. Afterwards, the longer rounds and Quiz Rush pick questions that fit you, so the game stays challenging without being frustrating.
